COURSE OBJECTIVES


The course focuses on identifying melt and pour glycerin-based soap, the methods of their preparation, and decoration.

The course is concerned with the traditional art of glycerin-based soap making. You will learn the history behind this type of soaps and how to make it. You will learn what are the ingredients and equipment needed, how to prepare it with different texture, what are the common problems encounters, and how to re-batch the soap if somethings goes wrong.

About the Instructor

Ali Bumajdad


Professor Ali Bumajdad has solid experience in the field of environment, nanotechnology, catalysis, cement and concrete, detergency, energy, sustainability, water-related research, etc.

Prof. Bumajdad has a broad experience in nanomaterials and nanotechnology. He targeted materials with environmental, renewable energy, sensors, water treatment, and green chemistry applications (e.g. pure and doped CeO2, TiO2 and ZnO, MgO, SiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, Ag, Au, Ni, graphene, carbon nanotube, functionalized activated carbon, etc.)
