The course focuses on identifying natural and industrial detergents, the methods of their preparation, and the importance of their qualities.

COURSE CONTENT


The course is concerned with identifying the natural and industrial chemistry of detergents, the preparation of different types of liquid and solid detergents, controlling and improving their qualities and evaluating their environmental effect after using them.

Third Lecture: Proper means of study

Second Day

First Lecture: Types of soap molecules
Second Lecture: Ways of making soap molecules
Third Lecture: Recipes of soap components and how to choose them

Third Day

First Lecture: The difference between a detergent and soap
Second Lecture: The components of different detergent products
Third Lecture: The environmental effect of detergents on man’s health

Fourth Day

First Lecture: Dry cleaning
Second Lecture: Whitening materials
Third Lecture: Liquid crystals

Fifth Day

About the Instructor

Ali Bumajdad


Professor Ali Bumajdad has solid experience in the field of environment, nanotechnology, catalysis, cement and concrete, detergency, energy, sustainability, water-related research, etc.

Prof. Bumajdad has a broad experience in nanomaterials and nanotechnology. He targeted materials with environmental, renewable energy, sensors, water treatment, and green chemistry applications (e.g. pure and doped CeO2, TiO2 and ZnO, MgO, SiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, Ag, Au, Ni, graphene, carbon nanotube, functionalized activated carbon, etc.)
